A Break Down of 1st Year

In this year you are taught in a variety of sessions such lectures, seminars, clinical skills sessions, anatomy labs and GP/Hospital visits (ECCEs)

Year 1 is made of 3 main examination types:

SBA – These are multiple choice questions testing a range of topics including physiology, anatomy and clinical presentations

SAP – These are written exams where you fill in your answers and they test a range of topics in social aspects of medicine, clinical presentations and clinical reasoning

OSCEs – These are clinical exams that see you in a clinical environment testing procedures, history taking and examinations
